Daniel M. Forbes completed his undergraduate studies in theology at Southern Adventist University in 1977. He completed a Masters Degree in Guidance and Counseling and an Education Specialist Degree in Counselor Education with a cognate in Special Education at the University of South Florida in 1988 and 1992 respectively. He went on to earn his Ed.D. in Counseling Psychology at Argosy University in 2003. He also did post-graduate course work through Liberty University and completed specialized training in Clinical Pastoral Education at Florida Hospital in Orlando, Fla. In additon to being a husband to his dear wife and father of his two beautiful children, Dr. Forbes is also a Licensed Mental Health Counselor with the State of Florida since 1999. He is a National Board Certified Counselor and holds additional certifications in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Family Life Education. He is a Florida Supreme Court certified Family Mediator and County Court Mediator. Dr. Forbes is a licensed, ordained minister with the Florida Conference of Seventh-day Adventists. He has a special research interest in grief and the grief recovery process, particularly as it relates to parents of children born with a disability. He has an interest in serving the Lord through the media of radio outreach ministry along with a special interest in secular campus ministry to students on college campuses. To date, Dr. Forbes has also authored a number of published articles.
